We went to Redd about a year ago for dinner and it was good, but this review is based on our Mother's Day experience this year. We had all but given up on Mother's Day brunches (most places are awful) but Redd was awesome. We went in at our reservation time and were seated immediately. The food was really nice, they were great with our kids, and all around had a great experience. Really pleasant and fun. As a chef myself, this place is truly amazing. Every component in each dish is treated with care and it shows. I’d recommend it to everyone I know who lives here, or is visiting. It did take a bit for our app to come out, but the staff noticed and gave us a an additional app on the house. The wait staff is attentive and is extremely knowledgeable about the food that’s created here. I’d come back without a doubt. I absolutely loved it.

First time at Redd. AMAZING! We ordered two starters (pork belly and sashimi) that were phenomenal. Our entrees were scallops and red snapper. Both were excellent. Our drinks were perfect. This is a great place to go for a top notch meal. From the moment you enter the restaurant you are professionally taken care of by each person you come in contact with. Celebrated my birthday here last week. Love the restaurant. The food and the atmosphere is everything and everyone is really welcoming. We were lucky enough to dine in on a Saturday and the experience was second to none. Started with a cocktail, the tuna tartare and some ravioli, which were all fantastic, and after a few hours of laughs with our guests we enjoyed the chicken, scallops, and steak - all of which were cooked impeccably. A final glass of wine and some pot de creme wrapped up a truly incredible dinner. Their reputation precedes them and for good reason - I'd gladly travel to dine with them again!

I really enjoyed eating at Redd. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was quiet, but upscale and minimalistic. The floor plan is very open and you can see almost the entire restaurant from any seat.Booking a reservation online was simple and quick. When I arrived having a reservation meant being seated immediately. This was a big plus because I have made reservations at other restaurants in the past and still end up waiting 10-15 minutes for them to "clear a... space" even when you have a reservation.For food I had the Tuna Tartare, Grilled Chicken, and the Wings Thai Chili. All of the food was excellent and cooked to perfection. The cocktails were also very good!I would recommend Redd as an upscale option for a special celebration or high end business meeting.One final note is parking in the area can be hit or miss so if you need to be on time make sure you give yourself ample time to find a space to more

We have a new favorite restaurant in Rochester! Our entire experience was outstanding from a prompt friendly greeting on arrival to a couple of well crafted cocktails at the bar. The look is contemporary with a hint of industrial and some milk glass art deco. The light was cozy and warm on a cold winter night. Seating was comfortable and the service was 5-stars the entire evening. We tried a couple appetizers of the gnocchi and also the smoked trout. Outstanding! For dinner we had the... caramelized scallops and the halibut. Wow! By far one of the best meals we’ve had in a while and you definitely get what you pay for. Save your pennies and try Redd’s. The vibe is like a Napa Valley Michelin star restaurant.The cocktail list is small but both my wife's and mine were well crafted, although on the sweeter side. REDD is my favorite restaurant in Rochester NY. The menu is modern and contemporary, constantly updated. The selection of drinks and cocktails is great. The staff is highly trained, with no exception, and they clearly have in mind that their customers desires and happiness come first. The crowd is interesting: varied, friendly and mingling (in particular at the bar) and you are likely to meet the local VIPs.You get what you pay for, and at REDD you get a lot… but considering that a weekend in... Redd is one of the best upscale American restaurants in Rochester if not the best. The Chef, Richard Reddington, has put together an inspired menu in this downtown restaurant. Tucked behind the Little Theater, there is plenty of parking. In the good weather months, outdoor dining is available. You should reserve early if you want to request outdoor seating.

My husband and I dined here gor our anniversary. It was our first time here and let me tell you...we were catered from beginning to end!!! I am in Awe of how amazing this place is!!! They exceed in every category. The chef spoiled us with extras for our anniversary. The food, service atmosphere were all superior!!!

This achingly hip (and certainly a scene) spot means this restaurant could be more hype than substance, but the menu is thoughtful and the food is creative and above all, delicious and packed with flavor.

Redd is one of the best upscale American restaurants in Rochester if not the best. The Chef, Richard Reddington, has put together an inspired menu in this downtown restaurant. Tucked behind the Little Theater, there is plenty of parking. In the good weather months, outdoor dining is available. You should reserve early if you want to request outdoor seating.

One of our favorite restaurants in Rochester right now. Food, service, and atmosphere is excellent. I recommend the caramelized scallops and the halibut, classic, chorizo. Yum!

The cocktail and dinner menu had a lot of original options. We sampled the pizza, risotto and scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cocktails were all really unique. But the BEST part was the SERVICE. We were a large party of 14 and had many servers checking on us including our main waiter. Each drink and food item never took long to arrive at the table. The ambiance is fun and not pretentious like you might think. Also PLENTY OF PARKING!
